My collaboration with the Columbus Nursing Home in Milan begins on July 30, 2015.

The Columbus Nursing Home is a private healthcare facility that distinguishes itself for the high-quality medical and surgical services it offers, and which caters to patient needs guaranteeing complete medical and personal assistance.

The Columbus Nursing Home was founded in Milan in the 1940s. Between 1935 and 1940, the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus acquired the building designed by the architect Sommaruga and situated in Via Buonarroti, assigning its expansion and transformation into a medical center to architect Giò Ponti. On February 11, 1949, the Columbus nursing Home opened its doors offering the presence of Maternity, Gynecology, Medicine and General Surgery wards.

The name derives from the first hospital inaugurated by Mother Cabrini in 1892 in New York to provide Italian immigrants with sanitary assistance, and today, the structure as well as the services offered still bear that same ‘do-good’ spirit. Not only a safe, comforting environment (one of the few nursing homes in Italy to have a top-class intensive care unit), but also a place with a special inclination for innovative technologies such as robotics and avant-garde techniques such as minimally-invasive surgery.

The medical services provided by the Columbus Nursing Home are not covered by the state-run health care service.

I will be available at the Columbus Nursing Home every Thursday. You can schedule your appointment by contacting Ms Giordana De Santis at +39 340 4860624, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, or via email at the following address:
